01. Background research

Trinity Care for the Elder

Trinity Care for the Elder is located in a planned “future community” in Hangzhou. With surrounding convenient supporting facilities. Within the center, there is rehabilitation equipment and interior space designed for the needs of the elderly.

However, the visitor flow rate is low.

What caused the low flow rate:

  • The old spend most of their time in rehabilitation and mental treatment.

  • The events area is lacking in use.

  • The daycare area shows that this care center has the ability to hold events.

02. Sampling Survey of Hangzhou Shuidun Community

There is a flow relationship between the disability of the senior citizens and the visiting frequency to this care center.

  • More people are at a great stage of self-care but have a lower frequency of coming to the center.

  • The age generally determines the self-care ability and their will to embrace electronic devices.

  • Many old people are willing to and comfortable with electronic devices.

  • The satisfaction is very poor; disabled people come more frequently and are more satisfied.

Problems: 

  • Limited target group character

    • ​There is a lack of potential visitors who are in general good health and comfortable with electronic devices.

  • ​Limited costumers’ motivation​​

    • ​The target group range is small, and people lack enthusiasm for coming frequently. 

  • Limited potential appeal

    • ​Senior citizens heard about this place primarily from the community workers. Thus, there is a lack of attractive advertisements.

The old’s needs can be classified into 3 categories: 

Health & Social & Self-ego

​The elderly have the need not only for health care but also to fulfill their self-worth. They can achieve this by learning new skills and knowledge. Social is also crucial for self-ego, which leads to community building.

04. Existing related service system

Ele. me is a delivery platform.

The user usage of Ele. me APP has the following characteristics:

  • The user base is large, but the user loyalty is low.

  • Users have a high frequency of use, but they are not just needed. With community group purchases and various small supermarkets entering the community, users will have more choices.

  • In the tool app, the user behavior is relatively simple: open the app only to place an order.

​Honor of Kings is a mobile phone game app.

The redeem system is the key to user loyalty: The user base is large, but the user loyalty is low.

  • Categorized three types of points.

  • Honor is differently distinguished between purchasing and not purchasing.

  • Honor weekly log-in and more play.

  • Purchasing is the only way to gain better champion skin. Subsidy if didn’t log in for a while.
